Mix-and-Match I/O
TriCaster 460 provides connectivity to prepare for any location scenario. Automation
Automation functions in TriCaster 460 help you experiment with more complex sequences but leave nothing to chance during a live production. Reduce on-air mistakes with macros—streamline real-time shot sequences that make the show look more sophisticated, but are too complicated to execute live and risk costly errors. Unlimited external control functions with MIDI sequencing enables show control of nearly any command, or offloading tasks to additional crew. With hotspots, talent can trigger automated sequences requiring extraordinary timing with on-camera gestures, effectively controlling a segment without an operator. And add remotely controlled robotic cameras as input sources, without the need to add camera operators.
Virtual Sets
Even if your "set" is really a multi-purpose room or the corner of a studio, your viewers will not only see your professional brand shine through—they’ll see any world you want to create, without the high cost or heavy construction. With TriCaster 460 system's virtual sets, you can elevate your look with realistic foregrounds and live moving backgrounds. Not just high-end studio looks either: take a panoramic of any location with your smart phone, or a 3D model from any universe you create, and make it your scene using our holographic LiveSet capability, bringing augmented reality that much closer to live. Add real-time energy to any virtual set with two live sources—each with overlay, all with transitions, sounds, 3D DVEs and effects. Social Media Publishing
With a brief setup beforehand and the real-time grab of a shot, generate second-screen content for sites like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter during the live show, and extend your brand to online and second-screen platforms—or share assets to common storage locations for instant access by others. Post-production
TriCaster 460 provides extensive workflow interoperation for postproduction: 4-channel ISO recording enables the capture of all the raw sources coming into the program, for later repurposing or re-use. Expanded media format support (like native QuickTime®-encoded files embedded with timecode and four audio tracks) eliminates conversion for production or editing, speeds up post- production workflows, and enables wider integration of Mac or PC based files. Our codecs for Mac and PC let you encode media assets, optimized for real time.

Direct integration between TriCaster and 3Play enables cross-platform commands and automation (via macros) for remote operation of select 3Play functions. Shared Storage Support

WorkFlow
Quad Monitor Support
Drive two additional VGA monitors or projectors, with advanced scaling and frame-rate processing. Each display port supports an independently selectable output signal, increasing flexibility for multi-screen monitoring and output.
Custom Multi-View Layout
Multi-view displays are now fully configurable, with sources and overlays selectable per viewport, enabling more flexible monitoring and allowing the operator to customize the workspace according to preference.
Output Selections
Secondary output channels now support expanded source selections. Choose to follow either of the primary outputs, or select any internal or external video source - with full frame-rate, color space and scaler - for more flexible output configuration.
Export Active Recordings
Export active ISO recordings to local storage or FTP while recording is in progress - and let post-production staff begin working with recorded content as soon as the program begins to reduce turnaround time.
Queue Active Recordings
Add local or shared ISO recordings to DDR playlists and the Publish queue while recording is in progress. Trim, playback or export even as recording and live production continues for instantaneous access to content being captured - locally or remotely - for playback, publishing or postproduction.
Network Tally Display
TriCaster intelligently detects connections between replay channels and network inputs, providing automatic tally configuration for TriCaster-3Play workflows and reducing the risk of mistakes happening on air.

Replay Functionality
Create basic highlight clips for instant playback and publishing with shortcut commands that insert the last 4 seconds of program output into your choice of DDR playlists, the Publish queue, or both-and expand your content-creation opportunities with no additional effort.
TW Controller Clip Marking
Clip marking with the TW controller now occurs on a continuously recording clip with adjustable In and Out points, rather than the TW controller starting and stopping recording to create clips with fixed In and Out points. This means the system retains full ISO recording functionality on all channels, even with TW controller in the workflow, extending playback control in single-channel replay workflows.
Automatic Media Retrieval
TriCaster now automatically locates and populates session media, even when drive settings have changed-saving valuable time spent searching for missing media and rebuilding sessions, and lessening the burden on operators to maintain a large volume and assortment of assets.
Navigation
Media Browser
Media Browser now includes a Session Recordings category, so operators can readily locate and identify session recordings, including those that are currently in progress. Actively recording clips are also identified with a Record symbol overlay for increased visibility.
Clip Thumbnails
For faster navigation, organization and file management, you can choose the thumbnail image that represents a clip in DDRs and the Media Browser, including distinctive, individual thumbnail images for duplicate clips.
